Solar Mini Panel Facts
|
- Our powerful Crystalline Silicon (c-Si) solar cells charge
a battery or product at more than double the light to electricity
conversion efficiency (14 - 16%) of Amorphous Silicon (a-Si)
solar panels (4 - 6%). i.e. higher power output per smaller
cell area. This superior charging power is very stable -
not affected by aging in over 20 years of sun and weather
exposure.
- Most a-Si solar panels deteriorate down to 30%
less power output (3 - 4%) efficiency during the first six months to
one year under the sun; a-Si glass panels are also very heavy and
vulnerable. However, we do use a-Si cells on flexible substrates
(stainless steel or plastic) for special requirements justifying
the high cost and also protect them with our special, flexible
materials.
- Our solar powered mini-panels have crystalline solar mini cells:
-laser cut to proper size and encapsulated in special sun and
weather resistant materials; -to protect the solar cells (lasting
over 10 years without significant deterioration); -on light weight,
very strong and weather resistant substrates or injection molded
trays custom designed for the target product.
- We do not use
easily damaged or decaying materials such as epoxy (clouds & cracks
with a few months sun exposure), silicon rubber (too soft & dirties
easily) or glass (too heavy, breakable & not user portable).
- Our solar mini-panels to "solarize" consumer
products are all custom designed to fit the milli-watt requirements
of each specific electronic or electrical product.
- We are
equipped with our own mini panel design computer programs,
laser cell cutters, engineering experts and facilities to
custom design and manufacture solar mini panels and complete
products for any feasible OEM request.
